Lisa Gunggoll is a seasoned public relations, events and marketing communications professional with more than 25 years’ experience in the industry. Her background has run the gamut from boutique to global agencies to corporate in-house positions to nonprofit and sports. A former competitive figure skater from Colorado Springs, she serves her clients with the drive and passion of an athlete. Lisa founded LG-PR Public Relations LLC in January 2010.
LG-PR’s client roster includes Catholic Extension, CASA of Will County, Jarrett Payton LLC, Jarrett Payton Foundation, Child Care Resource & Referral, Medinah Patriot Day, Illinois Patriot Education Fund, Selected Independent Funeral Homes, The Beach House in Nosara (Costa Rica), Viking Metal Cabinet Company, Venetia’s Home Accents and more.
Former project-based clients of LG-PR have included Chicago United Hoops Classic, talk3, SHIFT Communication Supply Chain Solutions (formerly CopyCo), U.S. Charities, Folds of Honor Foundation, Eaglewood Resort and Spa, author Jack Vincent, FMA Congresses and Interscope Records artist Morris Mills, among others.
Before founding LG-PR, Lisa worked with with Illinois Tool Works (ITW), Grainger Industrial Supply, Wilson Golf, Academy of General Dentistry, American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), American Society of Golf Course Architects, Southwest Oregon Regional Airport, Harbor Shores Resort, Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University and the Association Forum of Chicagoland, among others. For two years, she was media relations director for the EA SPORTS Maui Invitational men’s collegiate basketball tournament.
Lisa has authored a feature cover story on PR and branding for FORUM, the official publication of the Association Forum of Chicagoland, and has served as a guest speaker at seminars for the organization. She also has spoken at national conferences for Selected Independent Funeral Homes and ASHI and as a featured speaker at the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association Winter Seminar. She “Tweets” on PR and social media trends under the twitter handle Chicago_PR_PRO as well as LGPR_Chicago. Lisa is a former member of the Association Forum of Chicagoland’s Online Communications Task Force which helped implement and test the organization’s new website and intranet. She currently sits on the board of the Jarrett Payton Foundation and on the Executive Committee of Illinois Patriot Education Fund.
